New swimming festival makes big splash

The first of the new Aquaspalsh festivals was launched at Bedale Leisure Centre on 27th November with schools from the Bedale Cluster invited. The festival which incorporated 5 different activities including float races, water polo, tug of war and other relays gave an opportunity to all pupils to work hard and have fun in the water.

Over 130 pupils from 6 schools took part across the morning with teams from each school( and some mixed schools) competing against each other in the activities.

A huge thank you must go to the Staff at Bedale Leisure Centre who hosted and organised the event and the young leaders, all of whom gave up a day off to come and help at the event.
